About Us

Hello! it's nice to meet you, here is a little bit about us.

I started playing the guitar when I was nine years old after being shown a few chords from my dad.  My brother, Andrew, played drums for the first time at the age of nine.  Throughout our childhood, the three of us played together often.  Our love for music grew throughout the years.  With very little formal training, we were able to grow our talent and become part of our praise and worship team at church.

In 2012, our father had been hospitalized for cancer surgery.  During our days at the hospital, I felt the call to become a full time musician.  It was at my father's bedside that my brother and I shared with him our dream.

Our father, Marty Stewart, served in the military for 28 years.  He understood commitment and discipline.  He asked Jesus to be his Savior at the age of 21.  He understood what it meant to have faith and honor God.  In 2013, following surgical complications, the Lord called my dad home.  He left with us a legacy of what it looks like to be both a soldier and a son for Jesus Christ.  It is with honor that we call our band "Soldiers and Sons".  We have learned first hand that walking ever so closely in the storms of life with our Savior requires faith, discipline, dedication and service.  We desire to use our gifts and talents for His glory.

We continue to serve as the praise and worship leaders at our home church, the Waynesburg Bible Chapel.  We are thankful to have our mother, Mona Stewart, working with us behind the scenes.  My brother Andrew and his wife Victoria welcomed their daughter Anna into the world on 4/7/22.  She is such a joy to all of us.  My wife, Tiffany and I live in Waynesburg.  We love working with the college ministry at our church.  We are so thankful for all those who encourage and support Andrew and I in our music ministry.
